Has anyone had covid from HC?, page-33

Everyone will have had it by end of feb, its so easy to catch this version. But on the bright side not too many people getting it bad. I reckon I would know around 50 people now who have or had it and of them 30 or more is just in this last wave over Christmas.

Apart from 2 people who have been hit really badly and are in hospital, it doesn't sound too bad. Both of them were unvaxxed so around where I live, everyone is trying to be respectful around unvaxxed people, if you have any symptoms you try not to go out sharing the love. But the general attitude is expect to catch it, stay home a few days, maybe lose smell a few days, then recover and get on with it.

Unless some new messed up variant shows up, I think we are close to mission accomplished, it is almost the common cold already. And the great thing is there is just enough ambiguity in how we got there that everyone can pretend to take credit for it in their actions.

It's nice going to a cinema or bar, not wearing a mask, getting a message that you've been a close contact, and not feeling concerned. Its less offensive than getting unsolicited text messages from Craig Kelly and it doesn't stop you from living a normal life.

Hopefully in another year we won't even be talking about vaccines or case numbers anymore.
