Nothing is fair in this world. The only reason that boat people raise the temperature is because our political leaders see them as an opportunity to attack the other party. It seems to me that anyone who can raise the money and has the guts to cross the open sea in a small boat is likely to be successful in Australia. It is also likely that the same people will not be dependent on social services for too long. You can forget what the shock jocks said about the costs, it was rubbish.
