The point is that without lithium there won't be any lithium ion batteries in the planned EVs. Missing out on securing lithium supply seems a strategic mistake, and during this time Chinese companies have taken another 10 lithium projects off the market.
Time is ticking, some people will be left without a chair to sit in this game.
