To be clear (because it isn't): In separator coating industry jargon HPA itself is one of the so-called "ceramic" materials (though it is not in the traditional definition), and we can expect it will be one of fewer competitors as batteries develop especially those for high temp fast charging, high power and or solid state. Lithium air, sodium sulfur, etc will all likely need a solid thermally stable separator and HPA can help fill that role.
