warnie,if your sad to be an aussie at times, why don't you move to another country where you might be not so sad.
Are you aware that the refugees/asylum seekers are obliged to be taken off at the first safe country that they go through after leaving their destination point/home.
They have possibly passed though a few safe countries before arriving at their current situation.
They desperately want to go to australia and the cheek of them to stay put on the boat at present is beyond all reasoning.
They hold all the cards it would appear, holding 2 countries in the palm of their hand.
    This situation is unbelievable.
The way australia looks after these boat people must be held in high regard in their country of origin.
Pity the govt didnt give the same treatment to the underpriveleged in australia.
Unfortunately,I can't see the situation improving with a lot more boats on the way I would think.
Will be interesting to see if Rudd weakens and lets them come to australia.
I wonder what tricks the boat people will get up to next,
    anything is possible.
