Don’t everyone get all disappointed if the assays don’t return ore grade copper. It is almost inconceivable that a stratigraphic drill hole such as NDIBK04 would hit an economic Orebody, there is more chance of winning powerball two weeks in a row.

NDIBK04 does however seem to have hit a mineralised halo and the long intercept suggests that it’s got scale. The Orebody could be several hundred metres away or even kilometres away and may yet take a bit of work to find it. The earth doesn’t give up its secrets easily.

If you follow Carnaby and Emerson, both companies made recent high grade discoveries on IOCG deposits that outcropped and had been mined or explored for years. They hit paydirt after plenty of drilling and geophysics. I’m expect that the exploration success for ICG will probably start with a trickle this year and take a little time until something great is discovered.
