...speaking of dopey Dan land, my son went back down there for a few days over Christmas with his squeeze to catch up with her family.

He had left Victoria 18 months ago for work reasons, had gone back for a few days over Christmas 2020 as well.

He said that Melbourne now is a ghost town, The rows of Cafes and coffee shops they used to go to pre covid and Dan locking the place down for months on end are no longer there, shut down, gone.

He reckons it was actually difficult to find a decent coffee shop that was open. The City it seems has no vibe anymore and is devoid of personality. He couldn't get out of the place fast enough....lol

I'd say that Melbourne's hey days are now well past, it is well and truly "The place not to be" as opposed to "The place to be"...
