As an example I priced up a porsche taycan cross turismo recently and the 'current model' is not available for delivery here in Oz until second half of 2023.... So I would be buying outdated technology by 18 months in a fast changing space which I guess would be like buying an iPhone 4 now, sure it's makes calls and has the internet but if I'm spending the money, I want the cutting edge version.
I think we are witnessing the next phase of the beginning of the steep EV revolution curve, with so many brilliant minds in the EV space the consumer will be the winner with some amazing products coming IMO. I will be on the buyers list for the merc with akida in, driving along wearing only my brainchip shirt and a grin. Lol

Somewhere above in this thread, there was a statement (re Merc?) that Akida can cut the battery load by something of the order of 4 kW when doing video analysis.

In addition, there was a reference to merc using Silicon in their batteries. Talga is and ASX company which has a graphite mine in Sweden and which makes graphite/Silicon battery anodes which have the lowest carbon footprint in the world. The carbon footprint is important as EU has introduced CO2 penalties.

The Merc blurbs also mentioned active battery control to evenly distribue the load over the battery cells, which Akida may also be able to facilitate at low power.

While I don't know if Talga is supplying anodes to merc, it is possible that ASX companies will be leading the EV revolution.
