So with all the articles written on Mercedes and Akida, I am very very confident that the ones close to Elon Musk would have been notified about Mercedes EQXX electric car and it being able to travel 1000km without a recharge, and being one third more efficient than Elon’s Tesla’s.

Now Elon has always been loud and proud of tesla, but, there’s a shift in the automotive industry about to happen, we know Valeo have been testing the new lidar on Mercedes which we can assume based on the evidence out there that they’re using Akida, and now Mercedes themselves have publicly stated that they’re using Brainchips akida in the EQXX, and no doubt it will become the standard in Mercedes cars (and other cars) in the future. Now what I’m thinking is, are we going to see some kind of rush to adopt akida to risk not falling behind? Or to adopt akida to be the first in the market? Brainchip is 2-3 years ahead, let’s not forget that.

Because after all, what is a neuromorphic chip anyway?

The announcement from Mercedes is sure to prick up the ears of all manufacturers of cars and the famous quote by Rob telson about this only being the tip of the iceberg couldn’t be any more true than what it is now.

Since neuromorphic computing is only in its early stages, there will be a lot of people scratching their heads wondering how is it possible for Mercedes to achieve such power efficiency.

I think it is also safe to assume that at some point Brainchip and Mercedes will enter into a material contract agreement and we don’t have to worry about that relationship being hidden under NDA’s or through any other material contract we have or may have in the future.
