this is a compelling argument. You would think if Mercedes was in a direct partnership with Brainchip then this should now be disclosed to the ASX as it has been publicly stated. If Mercedes had a partnership with Renesas or Valeo and got their hands on Akida through one of them for example, then technically There is no reason for disclosing this to the ASX.
But since the article states that they are using Neuromorphic technology by Brainchip I tend to still believ that this is one of Brainchips EAP. otherwise they might have said something like "neuromorphic solution provided by Renasas or Valeo"
But then comes the question how is this not announced in an ASX release?
