Yes prestigious conference. As far as I can ascertain there are two unwritten classifications, those that get a guernsey in, and those that get a speaking spot by invite.
The best part about the conference is schmoozing... (yes it is a coincidence that Moozing is a subset of schmoozing...)

Before going to the 2019 PAR AGM I was kinda thinking before hand, is it really worth it...Id have to take a day Annual leave...get public transport in....attend...its prob just going to be a bit of a summary of the year, some raising of hands and some boring corporate law rigmarole, would I really learn all that much?
Mate, did I really learn that much, it was one of the best opportunities to speak to staff...to speak to directors, the schmoozing after it was very worthwhile. Sure we get answers to some questions here and there, but to see the expressions and body language...the dialogue that comes about during and after meetings like this, cant express this in words. My 15 min chat to Ravi was spectacular and he barely said much. I wont even begin to tell you how great to was to talk to Diesel Williams! There were people there I didn't even have on my list, Chris the director for instance - again very short interaction but I got a stack out of it. I finally met Scott Williams, again just to put a face to a name as well as Michael Goldberg..I didnt even know who he was at the time! (If I did I would've thought of a few questions to ask him!!) ...its all is value add.
Yeah but Mozz, JPM's 40th Bio Conference coming up is virtual.
True, perhaps not quite the same, but don't forget its the one on ones that will take the place of physical meets after all the main presentations.....we will have a number lined up, new guys wanting to know more will get to ask the PAR team all kinds of questions, to be a MOZZIE fly on the wall here...
Now that we are a 3rd Phase co, they should see us in a different light and will ask all the pertinent q's...sure we may not be on JPM's retail brokerage arm from an advisory point of view, but this does not mean they cant commend us to their bigger instos and clients....private wealth anyone?
But you know what, at that 2019 PAR AGM...some of the people I met weren't just titled and famous...some of the HC guys that I met became life long pals after that meet too. Some were patients of iPPS...it is THESE sorts of contacts I got that made such a meet worthwhile. The same is true for JPM. They will have PAR meet new fund managers and new contacts, there could well be new cashed up pharma's this year. This is one event we cant miss and yes, maybe you are right, the SP wont budge...there wont be any official announcements, but I think the raw connections formed in the background could be very useful and will play a role some day into the future.
