If you know the story you'd understand that they hid after they had eaten of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil...at which point their eyes were opened and they understood the consequences of their actions.
Which doesn't excuse the part the Creator played in setting them up to fail.

Evil is doing wrong. Right and wrong.
God considered disobedience to be wrong, they had disobeyed God...albeit they had been set up by God to fail.
