This is how I calculate it.
In the pic I show the CHI-X data on the left & the ASX on the right.
The first 2 columns then are the up & down tocks on the Chix followed by the chix data itself.
Between the two dat sets there are 2 columns that show the up & down ticks for the ASX
After that there is the pretty colored table that shows that totals & the final result for the day if its net buying or net selling
To the right of that there are the number of trades for each exchange.
I then copy them to a weekly table that will give a running total for the week & month.
I also put the totals in another sheet that has the shorts data as well that I use to confirm my thoughts on the charts from the previous few days.

As you can see, todays numbers are net selling.
Imo we are likely to retrace to the 0.29 - 30 area & potentially to 0.28 but we will get a better idea next week.
The current weekly build is showing a bearish looking candle which may change either way by tomorrows close but so far the indicators remain more bullish than bearish.
Yesterdays shorts were the largest one day number since 17/11.

This retracement may continue for some time or it my reverse back up in the blink of an eye.
