Norway and Iceland as well as one or two other small countries are very unique. there EV sales are great. Now you can use them to imply that this will come to US soon. Or you can use them to figure out what changes have to happen in the rest of EU and US to have the same results.

They both have very low cost electric with almost Zero CO2 content. Norway is hydro and Iceland is geo thermal.
This is not typical of most of the world.
its nice to see you are supporting PHEVs which several years ago you said I was crazy for suporting over BEVS. The day of BEVs will come. But I predict a great rise in sales then a change over to PHEVs then a steady rise in BEVS. Do you know why. Nothing to do with magnets just how consumer perception will change.
I have time will tell who is on the right side. I am a contraian. I look hard at what People tell me. for example I am with MS for a broker. One of their lead analysis came out with a strong Buy on MP. with a USD 75 price target. Talked allot about the GM Deal. What he did not mention that for several years they were a one product company REEO with one customer China. i bought Puts on the nice run up and they are now doing well.

So you listen to tony again and figure out what he is not saying.
How the Grid is totally unprepared for the increase in electric demand. How KWH price will climb As grid and production are stretched Take a look at the states with recent electric rises and compare to EV registrations. total registration of EV are still low. Remember it takes a few years to see % of registrations increase after sales increase. So look forward a few years to when BEVs and PHEVs registrations are 10 % of auto market. Electric cost will go up dramatically Gas will be in surplus and prices will drop like in 2020 when Covid caused us not to drive as much. Do you think that will have an impact on consumers buying decisions. Also as more people drive EVs it will become more apparent that EVS do not lower CO2 emission much at all when measured on a Well to Wheel basis. A tesla Model 3 ER which is the most efficient emits about as much CO2 as a 45 MPG ice vehicle in MA based on the carbon content per KWH of our electric.
