I don’t agree with your comment of “boring” even the IOP is known for a particular date, but the IOP behavior is not predictable.
Here are a few comments about unpredictability:
1) very sharp drop of IOP from $220+ to below $90 in a few months
2) a relatively large error in the IOP forecast for the last year by very famous brokers as well as their crazy FMG SP targets
3) a relatively large drop in the FMG SP from $26+ to just below $14 in less than 3 months
4) a seasonally relatively high aggregate volume of shorts which is still near 80mln shares what is ~2.5% instead of an expected ~0.5% or 5 times higher would should be
