Regarding climae change being a myth ( or not ).

I don't know if it's true or not, but the simple fact is, it was trumpeted as a 'sure thing', but thus far, the available facts don't come close to fitting with any of the predictive models. In additon, quite a number of experts have admitted to 'exagerating' their results in order to 'draw attention to the problem' ( worse, some high profile 'proof' has clearly been doctored...like the tree rings in siberia used to create the 'hockey stick' model, where 10 trees were used and all 'proved' the hypothesis...except that when someone checked what he did, they found that the guy and his team cut down 80 trees, and discarded those that didn't fit. Use all the trees, and they showed no appreciable change.

Suffice to say, it's very much an unproven theory thus far, and the dubious techniques of some are removing the credibility of the real science on the matter.

For me, I think alternative energy is important regardless of global warming...Fossil fuels are finite, and as they become more scarce, prices will rise more and more steeply, so best to research and develop alternatives beforehand and get ahead of the curve. If global warming ( real or not ) encourages funding for this process, bonus.
