I was told that when obj patch was just a concept.Basically I asked how it would be funded and was told that if it can be proven to work funding would not be an issue because of the fact that companies need to protect market share.

after reading the announcement it seems that this was the plan all the time and seems to me that it must be certain that 3M is picking up all the bills.

In those days it was just general terms that anyone could have been told if they bothered to ask.

For the record I did a lot of research and asked people not connected with the company to get many views.That was one of the views and it seemed plausible.Apparently it could well be the case.
