I think from the "Comprehensive Fabrication Agreement" wording, and the fact that EM is building a packaging plant, that indicates they they will be able to do the whole process for AP. That seems to have been one of the big drivers for the contract because it includes what sounds like a high degree of certainty that they can and will produce and deliver finished products to a predetermined schedule. Every indication is there that EM has already produced finished MEMS devices that work and which have already been used to produce at least some of the chips used to do demos with. What would not be to like in this announcement? It all sounds like AP has chosen the option that bypasses all the potential trip-up points on the road to commercialisation. I agree that the EM website looks totally uninspiring, but let's see what it results in. Websites can be improved. Audio Pixels site is not particularly flash. That does not mean the chips won't work.
Will we get to see qualified working chips in short order?
Will there be complete demo devices announced soon?
Will these be distributed to prospective customers soon?
Will we see spec sheets indicating performance?
Will prospects start shouting the news from the rooftops? Let's hope so.
If these things come to pass we will be most likely to see a product demoed at the AGM in May - or before.
