I would like to touch on this subject a little if that’s cool… If your not into long winded responses then just ignore me ;)..

We live in a confused world, I wouldn’t want to be a teenager again that is for sure.. Personally there seems to be a lot of negativity in the world, a lot of hatred.. In regards to races/nationalities one cant be ignorant to say they play no part in their behaviour. Many are born into such negativity and hatred, I don’t need to mention the races for you all to understand that, however even in our own backyard we have racial tension and strong hate..

Religion has bought more war in this world then any other reason, hatred toward another race due to there religious beliefs is going to forever be ongoing, never will there be peace in the world..

In regards to teenagers, their really just a confused mess, parents no longer take the time to understand there way of thinking, plus each generation that is formed are on a different page. The love and friendship that should be formed with your children is a thing of the past due to everyone being so busy with everyday life.. Due to such relationships no longer being formed (not in all cases obviously, I’m talking majority) teenagers/young adults look to one another for guide, peer pressure etc etc, it becomes there world…. For me the combination of drugs, mislead childhood; confusion of culture and nationality among another race is only the beginning of rebellion to society… The majority for the blame I believe is media, movies, TV and music. These represent the most influential power on the face of the earth… Put on some heavy metal for a day, see how you feel by the end of the day… watch a movie that is filled with violence and hatred and see how your emotions react.. Goes back to the old saying, what you behold you become..

Years ago here in Noosa, 2 young girls (both teenagers) stabbed a lady to death in the National park, In an interview with one of the girls they were asked what motivated them to do such.. Her response was “we wanted to know what it felt like to kill someone”… no racial tension here, 2 aussie girls.. what happened to there minds, how and why did they need to feel such an experience… tell me something, if you go to watch a boxing match, at the end of it how is every behaving, there tense, there swinging punches in the air behaving like there the next Rocky, even at times there is a fight out in the car park after the night is over, some may think about having a fight, but there will always be the few that put there thoughts into actions..

What’s the answer, there isn’t one.. If anything our laws need to be stronger, I know I will trigger a few here, but I say bring on capital punishment, maybe then some will think twice before there actions… some of the lowest crime rates in the world have the most extreme punishments, maybe Australia needs to say no more to meaningless violence, make an example of these criminal acts.. How is it that a man can violently rape a woman, get 5 years prison and out in 3 years, we need to get tough..

Whether or not its racial, or religious related, or boredom, desperation, confusion, whatever be the reason for such acts in today’s world, enough is enough I say… bring back public hangings and alike.. How else are we going to get through to our children that such acts will not be tolerated by society..
