I think so much of your nail/head description boils down to the sorry state of our LIB/LAB power at all cost dynamic. 2 parties who are ideologically and politically near identical so can't battle over substance, just battle over who's turn is it to run around parliament half drunk with their trousers down.

Hopefully motivation for some to vote independent next year. Something has to be done before the next major crisis or we may not survive it !
