His CGT bill was something like $180k USA - let’s call
it $250k Aus max.
I was indirectly one of the ones looking to buy them off JC 6 weeks ago when I got asked. I didn’t like it so bought on market instead. So he has known for a couple of months that he’s selling, seems the total increased a bit though. The other $750k increase above what’s needed for tax implications could be as others have said, future options.
Or he just likes Cocaine, Cavier, & expensive hookers.
My guess others on the board haven’t known about this until last minute and probably aren’t too happy.
