Just pleased to see at least some are talking about more than the tennis .

As a sandgroper must say I'm rather proud of our Premier and the level of cooperation from the general public in WA but does seem like the time to open up is soon .(SOME ARE WANTING DELAYS PAST FEB 5.)
Vax levels are high , people are getting boosters and the kids will be getting vaxed soon AND Omicron while still with the potential to kill not quite as lethal as Delta .

BUT when you open up ... how do you avoid the disruptions thru illness and the pressure on the health system seen in the east ???
Just letting it rip just doesn't seem a good strategy .
Seems sensible to me to start with fairly strong restrictions such that the spread of the virus is slowed enough that businesses , hospitals and society can cope better .
As more people have had it then remove the restrictions .
But I'm keen to see the process finished before winter as I suspect the high summer temps also work to miniise spread .
Hopefully we can improve on what the east is doing in this respect too.

Interested if anyone else has done any thinking on how to avoid the disruptions we are now seeing .
