Frank, the Maricunga expenditure figure is now over US$67 million. This is the opening monologue on the Bearing Lithium website:
Bearing’s primary asset is a 17.14% interest in the Maricunga lithium project in Chile. The Maricunga project is the most advanced, high-grade undeveloped lithium salar in the Americas. Over US$67 million has been invested in the project to date.
An acquiring company will have to pay a premium for the Maricunga project as LPI holds the only large tract of relatively flat, off-salar land for development purposes. Also, they would be acquiring the highest grade, undeveloped lithium brine resource on the planet; a carbon-neutral production plant designed to be the most efficient lithium brine processing plant on the planet; potentially, full production offtake arrangements for stages 1 and 2; and a strong, productive, working relationship with the local and indigenous communities. What more could you want in an ESG world?
Mate, taking a long-term perspective, even $2:00 a share is dirt cheap.
