Has anyone read the MTP Connect report? I highly recommend it.
One of the interesting takeaways is that 90% of the medicinal cannabis products sold in Australia are imported, however they do not meet the same GMP manufacturing standards that Australian producers are required to meet. One of the reforms being undertaken by the TGA is to ensure imported products meet the Australian standards and this reform is due to be in place by March this year.
The snippet above is what Alex was referring to in his note, should be very supportive of local producers when it lands.
