If you fast forward a year or so. I cannot see the QLD govt killing UCG. I think they will embrace it and the current process is simply prudent environmental and technology management.

Lincs move is brave and one that could trap them. If the QLD govt reppeal some of the current restrictions and Linc has already committed significant capital to a SA project when their base ops can be better run from their :P world class lab and library then they will find themselves in a small conundrum with the SA govt.

Eitherway though, I think the SA site does have universal appeal, much the same way that the Eneabba move for CNX does. Both areas that are remote next to large mining and infrastructure projects that have to 'import' energy at higher prices. The higher price might lower the project risks.
