probably a bit of both Albright... But also there will be a considerable number who have done some fundamental research and are guestimating the potential upside here not only for the short term but for the mid-long term...

Effctively the excitement is over the patch, its properties and the potential financial return that will come from the market....IMO Traders have hit this stock very hard and there are alot of active investors who are now in at a level above the current SP... Regardless of nearterm trading activities the speculative timing key here is up to the 1st Feb 2010 which is the date 3M have given to make a comprehensive market evaluation. That evaluation should give the product and the company's shares a direct and calculable marker... For a quick calculation for every Billion shares in a company.... $10 million dollars in profit earnings or direct value equates to 1c added value in the share price....

Most mid-long termers know how small a value of $10M is when it comes to consumer spending especially on a preferred product such as is thus far via the recent Florida Tests most likely to be the case...10 times more effective than a high volume, globaly distributed, existing, competing product on the market...

What happens next week may be heavily influenced by traders. Once the trading frenzy dies off I expect any announcements from this company will bring them back as was particular the pattern which occurred with the company PRR...

Patent applications covering multiple aspects covering the delivery mechanisms have been lodged along with drug specific patent applications. New IP opportunities exist for specific implementations of the OBJ technical in relation to specific drugs, compounds and applications.


I recall a comment from a HC user on this company regarding a lack of IP announcements with respect to completion of IP... In my understanding once their is a patent pending then patent protection is granted over the pending period until such time that the approved patent expires or the patent is not approved...Keep in mind also that this type of technology lends itself to not just one patent but many.
