Thank you for the reply but damn that is certainly not what i wanted to hear.
I have holdings in BRN, FMG, LTR and a couple of others with averages that won’t be seen ever again (unless a GFC of some sort)
I just can’t offload these, cop the CGT (15-30%) and buy back as i have a ways to go before retirement, although i hope to retire earlier than the standard.
Actual cash balance is probably not quite enough to have an SMSF as a seperate entity.
Was hoping to be able to “transfer” stock holdings from Aus to SMSF then use the balance from current Aus Super investment option (that would be exited) plus cash to invest either more into current holdings, into some juniors or a combination of both.
So i’m stuck in a way.
Bummer…
