Gold has been the worst imaginable bet when almost everything else is going up, and we still get the dopey, absurd conspiracy theories posted here every day - how the "Fed has lost control", "Russia and China are stockpiling gold", (as if anyone would care if they were), "the dollar is being manipulated upwards", "the bubble's going to burst"...ad infinitum.
