There are a few deposits that are presenting as economic. But nothing proven at scale to date. Depends on the concentration of AL2O3 in the Bulk Ore Body, and what the contaminants are. Cr & Na, & it's variants are difficult.
Personally I wouldn't believe a thing I hear out of Altech. They've been Crapping on about their Malaysian Plant for Three years now. Blown $40Mill with no headway made. Now they're wanting $7mill for a Pilot Plant in Germany.
Warning Bells everywhere there in my opinion.
