yttrium is used in many ways. It can be highly valuable. Always to understand the company one is invested in..
Some use of yttrium include..
1. An additive in alloys to increase the strength of aluminium/magnesium alloys.
2. In making microwave filters for radar
3. Yttrium-aluminium garnet (YAG) is used in lasers that can cut through metals. (From google)
