If you calculate the profitability between $10.25, $10.50 & $10.75 puts for example you'll see there is additional risk at little to no benefit.. The outcome is practically the same if LYC hits $10. Of course there is a point where the difference becomes greatly noticeable but the stock would have to really start hitting the 9's for that to be worthwhile..
As much as I'd LOVE to see LYC straight tank to $8-$9, I'm also a realist. Even if it magically tanks that hard, I'm still sitting very pretty on $10.50 and $10.75 puts instead of taking $10 or $9.75 ones. The risk:reward is not justified IMO for more out of the money.
