    ASX RELEASE
    3rd September 2008
    SCALE OF CONVENTIONAL GAS DISCOVERY
    CONFIRMED BY SEISMIC
    Original Gas In Place (“OGIP”) for the Heifer Creek Sandstone in the Kingfisher Field has been determined as 12 – 70 BCF contingent resource;
The high-side OGIP potential within the Heifer Creek Sandstone in the adjacent Mackellar Prospect has been assessed as up to 410 BCF; and

. Prior to completing an additional appraisal well, the Company has classified this field as a contingent resource and estimated an OGIP range for the field as:
    12 bcf OGIP (low)
    37 bcf OGIP (med)
    70 bcf OGIP (high)

In addition, the Company has identified a related prospect on the Mackellar High Trend. A probabilistic OGIP range for the Mackellar Prospect has been determined for the Heifer
Creek objective as up to 410 bcf.

Both the Kingfisher Field and the Mackellar Prospect are located in PEL 16 where Metgasco has 100% interest.

    Background
In February 2008, Riflebird-E14 was drilled on in the Kingfisher Field on the Mackellar high trend located near Casino in the Clarence Moreton Basin, NSW. This well was drilled to a TD of 1,369 metres and intersected a gas column over a 49 metre gross interval, but did not intersect a gas water contact (“GWC”). Results from wireline logging indicated gas shows in three sands of the Heifer Creek Sandstone.

These sands were tested in May 2008, producing gas to surface at initial rates of 257,000 scf/day on a 16/64” choke following perforation of the zones of interest with an estimated net gas pay of 9 – 15 metres estimated. Ongoing testing at Riflebird-E14 has indicated that all three sands are producing gas, with the majority of the flow coming from the lower two sands. These sands are producing at a reservoir pressure which is indicative of an
additional 30 metre gas column below the current lowest known gas.

Todays, repoty be tellin alls de bro bros an de sistaladymons dat dem wells be makin de biggy gassys, dat wat be tellin yos:

A short production test at appraisal well Kingfisher E1 was conducted overnight in an open hole section at 1,274 metres in the Heifer Creek sandstone. This zone is interpreted to be the equivalent to that encountered at 1,240 metres at Riflebird E14, the well previously drilled at the Kingfisher field.

The well produced at a rate of 900,000 scfd after a 4 hour test on a 32/64” choke.

Dat be tree timeys befor, mabbe dat be jus de beginnins. De famly be habbin de fittytoo scarytings an be mos happinessy.

Piss ob de Lod on alls de bro bros an de sistaladymons an mays yo be feelin de helpin hans ob de Lod in de stills ob de niteys.
