The places where you need to worry about cap raise is where companies blowing 8-10-20 million a year barelly progressing anything and you are super happy if they add another 3-500 000 ounce to a deep rooted narrow vein sistem which probably will never get to the size to be viable.

A good rule of thumb is also an annual review of where the raised money been spent and what kind of results been delivered. You want to see at least 50% of the money spent on the ground and on studies if they are not chances are they are just talking and running a lifestyle operation.Ideally you want to own companies like Nova where the discovery cost is at rock bottom and the wast mayority of the money spent on the ground,or studies and at the end of the year you see a significant progress on the ground and they delivered great results from conducted studies.

the fact is that many investors know the cap raise is coming which will be offering much cheaper hence they are selling.
Short players take this opportunity to keep selling down as well.
having said that, I will buy in CR price. Quarter report coming soon, they have to raise very shortly to meet asx requirements.
