Hindsight is a wonderful thing but UUP has since plummeted and looks set to break to new lows right along with the USD.
I did post the other night that based on overbought indicators that I didnt like the look of gold one little bit, HOWEVER I also stated that based on the the fact that I believe that gold is in the initial stages of a parabolic move, that surprises could be to the upside and that in parabolic moves indicators can remain overbought right to the end.
I think commentators such as Hoye and Faber et'al are playing this move REALLY dumb. They are making assumptions about a market which is excelerating upward and that is why I will hold until I see evidence of a complete and total breakdown.
The swings are going to be wild and this market will throw of many before it is finished. I prefer to look at TIME rather than PRICE, because time will dictate when it has run it's course and when it is time to reverse, not price!!
Also the other night somebody stated that parabolic moves go straight up without pullbacks, which is not entirely correct.
If you go and study the parabolic move in the Nasdaq in the late 90's you will see on a monthly basis that there were pullbacks, it's just that they were very short lived.
