The financiers would have been well aware of the perils involved in this negotiation.

The debt restructure will still proceed. If required the banks may require the sale of the Alinta business.
It has been reported (in the less than reliable press) that there are several interested parties that will take this business off BBP's hands at a price.

It's a waiting game.....
