I think USA forgot to read the green memo saying that cars will be net PROVIDERS of power.
After your daily commute you plug the car into the house & the car provides all you power for the household.....and then you can drive to work the next day....apparently pppppppppffffffffffttttttttttt
Imagine the load with every household have a fast charger (as great expenses) all plugging in at night to get ready for the next day commute.
The solar out can't meet that demand, the wind turbines can't meet that demand, ..coal & gas & (nuclear) to meet that demand...
