I'm with you, especially in the cyber tech world of today.

Communication (internet), fraud is a frequent news item in case some haven't noticed.

Anybody besides me notice that telephone etiquette has completely gone?

Guess it takes too long to introduce, with a simple, "Hello, this is Joe Smith from Computer share and I would like to speak with Melinda Jones about the Liontown share offer."

And, rather than ask, "What's your email address?", why not say, "Is your address still [email protected]?"?

Gotta cut to the chase because time is money with three hundred more calls to make.

Thing is, the first method actually saves heaps of time, establishing confidence, rather than the very rude, ring ring "hello, is this John Doe?".
"Depends on who you are.", is my reply as it could be any scammer under the sun.
