‘It’s time to spill blood’: Texas man charged over plot to kill election workers after Trump’s defeatIn the hours leading up to last year’s attack on the US Capitol, Texas man Chad Stark placed an ad on the online forum Craigslist, threatening to kill several selected election officials following Donald Trump’s defeat.
“Militia up Georgia it’s time to spill blood,” the 54-year-old wrote, offering to pay $10,000 to anyone who joined him.
“It’s our duty as American Patriots to put an end to the lives of these traitors and take back our country by force. We can no longer wait on the corrupt law enforcement in the corrupt courts. If we want our country back we have to exterminate these people.”
Stark’s chilling words are contained in an indictment released by the US Justice Department on Friday (Saturday AEDT) as he became the first person charged through its Election Threats Taskforce.
