sadly though the federal efforts have been quite the failure over 20 years due primarily to attempts to force first Australians to "just do what we tell you!"..... sans consultation.
Everyone seems to know better than anyone else how to solve the Gap problems.... imo this is the main impetus behind the Voice to Canberra request in the Uluru Statement.
There is now a broad and well-educated leadership in a wide range of disciplines among first Australians. imo is that first Aussies should be the ones responsible for addressing Gap issues. Let them take full responsibility for managing the development of health, education, skills development and employment.
