Yes I don’t think it’s the best way of doing it, but they obviously think the uyghurs muslims religion is a threat as many westerners don’t like a lot of Muslim ideals etc
Im not sure what they practice as muslims tbh, maybe underage marriage, maybe polygamy maybe a multitude of things that don’t fit with Chinese values and they have weighed up the ill effects to society of stopping them to letting them continue?
We break human rights by reverse discriminating, we break many human rights all the time, just google them all, we have policies that are in clear breach of them so I don’t listen to human rights, just general feel good rubbish imo
Sometimes need a carrot sometimes need a stick… too much of either is not good
