Sentiment is slowly turning back to resources from Banking and Finance, this will slowly benefit small and mid caps.
Bus as you say, they can control things to an extent by releasing news regularly - it doesn't need to be BS news, but just updates, progress whilst all the time emphasising the positives of they business plan.
No rocket science but so many companies neglect the PR side of things and the benefits it can bring!!
