US companies and others all across the globe had just as much an equal opportunity to sign offtake agreements and financing deals with AVZ.
The fact that they haven't and the resulting consequence is a mistake on their part. This is not the fault of the Chinese. To suggest that they now need to be "controlled" is a typical reaction of the US and smacks of bullying. Are you familiar with the phrase "you snooze you lose"?
The reason for the delay in issuing the ML is AVZ need to resubmit a revised DFS to the government because CATL want AVZ to supply them with 5x their original amount.
My suggestion to the US is stop worrying about what everybody else is doing and focus on your own economy and building wealth for your own people. Leave the China, the Middle East, Afghanistan, Russia and North Korea alone.
