While it's not impossible they are using the IP, I think they would be using the Akida SoC at this stage. After all, it's a one-off use in a concept car. When it gets to production cars, they may well use the IP.
Also, as I read it, the Mercedes blurb indicated that rhere may be more than one use of Akida in the concept car, possibly the in-cabin monitoring.
Of course, there are many more potential uses for Akida in EVs, ADAS, and AD.
