Thanks BS, so my inquiry/thought spike wasn't too far off the mark. However, I was also suggesting that the Akida hardware IP ( yes, I do realise it does form part of the IP as well as the software ) could be utilized in many, many developments aside from the IP ( i.e. software ) being used with another manufactures' hardware), or am I confusing the whole issue altogether. Possibly there's something I'm not understanding ( quite possible )

It's been pointed out several times that Brainchip will be selling the IP ( just like Arm do i.e. their model, because Arm don't make or sell chips, and that their model is more suited as a business model for us ) and that this method predominantly, will be used moving forward. My question is why this is so, particularly as you've suggested, the Akida SoC is more than likely being used in this development car. Why, then would not others, i.e. Manufactures' utilize the hardware/AkidaSoC/ in what ever they are developing/producing also.

Perhaps my thinking is at a cross purposes point in time or something, unless there is something else that I'm not understanding ( and this is quite possible IMO ) or able to grapple with. Please enlighten me Barrel, and probably many others/posters as well
