This is just a thought, If I was the Sri Lanka Government and Australia, with out consulting us, excepted these 78 Sri Lankan in to Australia would be an insult, for the message is we can't trust you to look after your own people.Isn't that a slap in the face for the Sri Lanka Government.
It would be impossible to imagine, but say it was reverse and Australian Boat people went to Sri Lanka to escape Australia and they took them in.
Wouldn't you feel insulted.
Just up anchor and sail them home and stay out of domestics abroad. Keep our ships in home waters,Mind our own borders.
Rudd should have gone to Sri lanka himself and got this sort out, instead of acting like Father Christmas handing out bribes. Rudd is unbelievable, and I did like him before.
