The Fed doesn't have to move for the markets to pressure rates to rise. This has been happening for the last year and a bit. Have a look at the curve. The Fed is actually already late to the party.
IMO the market has already priced (this week and last) a 50bps rate hike in march. If we get 25bps , the market should react positively. If we get 50bps, neutral to bearish. If we get more, or if the market prices in more than 50bps due to continue supply side issues leading to greater than expected cpi, then we are in trouble.
On the other hand, AZL has plenty of fundamental drivers. hopefully these fundamentals help it completely decouples from the market once things get moving.
