I saw Dom Pairoftits yesterday proudly declaring the Omicron wave is over, however Dr Chant didn't look too convinced in the background.
I wonder if they realize many people are being cautious and not venturing out as much as they normally would or self isolating regularly due to being in contact with the virus through family members, you only need to drive through normally high traffic around the country or look at spending data to realize things are far from normal.
Next week schools and community sports etc will be back into full swing and highly likely prove an ideal covid breeding ground.
I am normally an eternal optimist but the NSW and Fed gov handling of this so far leaves me rather pessimistic on any statements they make.
Testing is not going anywhere soon have heard calls of testing becoming redundant multiple times the last 2 years and every time this has proved vastly incorrect the global testing numbers continue to surge and grow.
One good thing that could come from regular school testing going forward is they may be able to reduce/keep a lid on both covid and flu once the accurate multiplex tests hit the market later this year.
C'mon TGA lets get that approval done and support an Australian company so we can ditch the unreliable low accuracy Chinese made tests that are about to fail miserably in Doherty reviews.
Josh Frythemburgers is bouncing around all over Brisbane at present and so far can't seem to find his way to Anteo or Ellume offices, I bet he is just itching to get his photo taken at Anteo HQ to show how good the Feds are supporting Aussie manufacturing and he would likely love this ready in time for Australia Day.
Everyday passing is one day closer to approval or so I have to keep telling myself.
