Yeah. I had a 400 small block Chevy engine in the HJ sedan, paired with a turbo 400 gear box and 9” diff. It was a great combo. There was a wire from the battery to the starter motor and distributor. That’s about it. I could get the engine out on a stand in 1.5 hours.
Today with emission controls and the never ending quest for efficiency we have what we have in modern cars.
