Depends what you're meaning of the gap is? Is the gap always there until they move off their traditional lands like Arnhem Land and fully integrate into the burbs ? No more traditional ceremonies?, no more traditional dress? no more traditional hunting and fishing? Is closing the gap another way of saying forcing them to be just like white Australia? If it is then I never see the gap closing.
