Yes l did consider flying to Queensland , or other states of Australia , but things keep changing , and l just kept waiting and watching.
As l had flights cancelled before , due to WA govt changing the caps , l became very excited with the Feb 5 rules , which l thought were likely to stay. It did seem sensible joining Australia and the world.
But 16 days before it was stopped , and 80,000 had their flights affected , including me.
l actually sent off a long letter last weekend to all those involved govt departments and a few politicians , and would you believe the Quarantine Police at Perth Airport emailed me back last Sunday night saying dont worry - no flights will be cancelled . Went to bed with relief , then first thing Monday my travel emailed to say my flight cancelled. I hope the quarantine Police know now.
In the last few days there has been so many conflicting reports , comments etc.
My travel agent on Monday thought it best l fly to Australia , like you said , so l chose Melbourne. No quarantine if negative , and no G2G form , just fly in like all Australia and most of the world , and off you go. She said next day l could fly into Perth with no hotel quarantine , which l doubted. Seemed strange to me , just by flying to Australia , l can fly to Perth next day.

Anyway today it announced that overseas arrivals wanting Perth , best fly to an Australian city other than Perth , then to Perth , with only home Quarantine - even if you fly the next day .
Gets crazier by the day - maybe someone has interests in domestic travel - or maybe McGowan flying east soon.
So l now go to welcoming Australia , get visa to WA and all good.Well until the next change.

Here in Phuket now - flew here from europe as too bloody cold there - thousands fly in and out every day. They have modern technology - check you at airport , with follow ups during your stay. As long as you keep showing negative , your free to do as you like. Huge number of tourists here , all happy , and many flying in from Australia too.
